As our country celebrates Labor Day today, we are all blatantly and painfully, aware of the LACK of Labor going on in America this year. As of September 2, Payroll employment unchanged in August; unemployment rate holds at 9.1% . Yet, you can turn on the TV and hear the Tea Partiers and the GOP railing against President Obama saying what he “hasn’t done”. Sadly they are not saying what, “THEY” can do. And selfishly, they won’t. If they do, then Obama may latch onto the idea and the other side won’t get elected then. Nevermind that people are losing their lives DAILY, NOW!
The GOP,Tea Party & the Democrats, do not care if you are unemployed. They just want to be in charge when 2012 is over with. Though the Republicans and GOP, don’t have any more of a clue to fix anything than the current President, they will taunt us with supposed statements, like Romney’s, “I know what to do to get the job done”! Does he? Does he really know what to do? Well, why wait to tell us? If you really care so much!
America is turning into the JOKE of the World. We taunt everybody with what we do and how special we are here. We say we are a SUPERPOWER! A superpower of WHAT? Of examples of ignorance and greediness and lies and selfish behavior? Of politicians who will stand by and let people suffer for the next year, vs trying to help get the economy going for the good of America and its citizens?
Of RICH people who believe they should get breaks, because they have more money than others? Of the mistaken belief that by allowing rich people to keep more of their money, somehow they will be concerned enough to create jobs? Superpower of what? Of telling the unemployed, old and poor that they won’t have the help they need! Though it is irrational to “TAX” people when the economy is bad, it is smart to “CUT” assistance for the neediest Americans. Of sending jobs to other countries, so RICH people can make “ONE MORE DOLLAR”, NOT to be taxed on. Is that what the word, “SUPERPOWER” means?

Some of the major factors, like inflation, are discussed elsewhere. But there were also lesser problems with the economy of Rome that combined together to escalate financial stress. These include: Poor management, The dole (bread and circuses), and Hoarding.
As we look to our leadership, we can see, through the last couple of years, our President has become gun shy. Coming into office with a bulldog attitude and determination to FIX America, this same man is now a “lap dog” for the elite of Washington, DC, on both sides. He doesn’t think for himself anymore, he just does what he is told. He doesn’t demand respect and action, he just waits to be told what to do. He spouts rhetoric and bows like a servant. He doesn’t stand up for America anymore. He has given up before he got started good. He has yielded “hope and change” to “shut up & conform” !
America is in real trouble. We don’t have anyone to represent us anymore. Our leaders, on both sides, can’t stop trying to “one up” each other. It is just an ongoing “pissing” contest. The people we put in Washington, are all in on it. They have turned their backs on America. They don’t care anymore if you don’t eat or don’t have a place to live or if a hurricane just blew your house down. They are only concerned about getting one up on their opponents.
America is truly going to hell in a handbasket. We have relinquished our rights as a Superpower and an example to the World. We have replaced it with fighting and backstabbing and selfishness never seen before in this country. We have reduced the office of President to one of disrespect and racists attitudes. At the cost of many peoples lives and way of life, we have forfeited our respect and our long standing support of the highest office in the land.
The GOP and Tea Party have shown that you don’t have to respect that office anymore. They have set the example for behavior that we may never recover from. No longer is the office of President one that should be held in high esteem, it is an opportunity to stall progress and isolate issues. America is becoming the Joke of the World. We have stopped trying to be a “GREAT” Country. We are just trying to make sure we each have what we want, at the cost of our basic principles and maybe at the cost of everything we have fought so hard to preserve.
I fear that if America doesn’t have an awakening here, the hopes and the American dream, we all want for ourselves and our families will no longer be possible, no matter what jerk is supposedly “IN CHARGE”!
