Gutter Gardens Use Repurposed House Gutters – Green Thumb Gardening

Repurpose old house gutters into stunning gutter gardens. Decorate the side of a building with a living garden. Short on space, no problem! These small gardens require minimal space and care. Plant small vegetables or herbs in the gutter gardens and watch them flourish.

Things You’ll Need:

Old gutters
Wood screws
Drill
Drill bit
Potting soil
Seeds

Instructions:

Step 1 – Clean the old gutters with a mild dish soap. Allow the gutters to dry.

Step 2 – Locate a location on the side of a building for the gutters. Place them at a height that is easy to reach. I suggest from the shoulders down.

Step 3 – Secure the gutters to the building.

Step 4 – Add potting soil and seeds.

Step 5 – Water and maintain. Harvest the vegetables and herbs when ready.

Paint the old gutters if desired. Choose a spray paint that is compatible to the gutter material.
