Easy Homemade Gifts: Cold Winter’s Defense Beauty Secret Bath Oil

Making easy homemade gifts for your friends and loved ones doesn’t have to be a chore. And bath oils are one of the best gifts and most everyone likes them. In just a few short months many of us will have thirsty skin as winter does a number on us just walking out the front door. The cold, icy winds kissing your cheeks, pelting snow and dry air dries skin out faster than the Sahara would. Fortunately, wishing away winter is as easy as pouring a little of this bath oil into a hot steamy bath. The wheat germ oil in this easy homemade gifts recipe will even re-hydrate skin dried out from the temperature shift between indoors and out.

What you will need:

– 16 Ounces of Wheat Germ Oil

– 20 Drops of Sweet Oil Fragrance Oil

– 10 Drops of Geranium Fragrance Oil

– Dried Orange Slices or Rind

– Decorative Bottle

– Cork Top

– Sealing Wax

– Raffia or Ribbon

To start, pick out a nice decorative bottle that will make an attractive homemade gift, and really make sure your the bottle is clean. Gently wash with hot water and soap even if the bottle looks clean. Glass can hold a very light film of dust without us visually seeing dust.

Next, carefully blend all three oils together in a separate, clean container. Now, insert the dried orange slices and rind into the decorative bottle.

And using a funnel, gently pour the oil over the orange slices. Make sure you leave a little room at the top of the bottle and try and make sure the oranges are all covered in oil.

Now insert the cork top into the bottle and seal with sealing wax. Now you can decorate the bottle how you like. You can add a sticky label with the name, ingredients and the date when you made the made oil, or write a pretty gift card and don’t forget the directions. These are simple use 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil per bath.
