What Does the Scale Back in the Lisa Irwin Case Mean?

Police announced they have scaled back the search for Lisa Irwin, the 1-year-old, who has been missing since October 4, out of Kansas City, Mo. The parents Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin have been named as suspects by everyone but the police. Their attorney’s Joe Tacopina and John Picerno, have refused to allow their clients to speak with police, unrestricted, since October 8, four days after Lisa went missing. The police are accused of being too rough with the couple. The police have repeatedly said they have tough questions the couple needs to answer, but the attorney’s have refused.

With the scale back of the case, nothing changes, the police need that one clue that will lead them to Lisa or that will prove or disprove the kidnapping theory the parents have claimed. The police say they have cleared every person who has been named as a suspect. The parents are the only ones left, at this point. The attorney’s have claimed several times that they have cleared the parents, but their claims have either fallen through, been disproved, or fail to show completely that this was a kidnapping.

Tacopina can stay in New York, as Picerno is based in Kansas City. Unless there is a change of heart by the parents, the case will head toward the cold file. What makes this case unusual is if it were a kidnapping, why was there no ransom note, no attempt to contact the parents, and the big question, why the Irwin home?
The parents seem to have financial problems, with Irwin working part-times jobs to help pay the bills. The phones that were in the house and the parents claimed were stolen by the kidnapper, were turned off, due to non-payment. It would seem that a kidnapper would look for a more lucrative site.

None of the questions that the public or police have are likely to be answered as long as Lisa is missing. With a $100,000.00 reward, it would seem that if anyone knew anything of value, they would have come forward. There have been no solid leads; only leads that police say are not reliable.

Today on Thanksgiving, what would have been Lisa’s first Thanksgiving where she could have enjoyed turkey, , and some of the good things that come with the big family meal, she is still gone. Hopefully someone will get greedy and want that reward, have a reliable lead, and bring the baby’s murderer or kidnapper to justice.
