During Jeffs’ recent Texas trial by jury, audio recording was played of Jeffs engaged in sex with a 12 year-old girl. The jury reportedly took less than four hours to convict Jeffs, according to People Magazine last week.

Warren Jeffs is recognized by his followers as the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints , and fancies himself an all-knowing prophet. According to current public record, however, he is merely a ward of the state of Texas, and a convicted sex offender to boot.
