Understanding Animals

He was a farmer
and never understood city people
Animals was food
Not dang pets
Cats kept mice out of barns
and if one died
there were plenty of cats
to go around
Never saw a dog
he liked
didn’t lay eggs
produce milk
make beef
if a wolf entered his farm
it sure would be
endangered
If an animal broke a leg or a hip
or turned plain nasty
you just shot the dang thing
and he wondered why it took
so long to learn that
in vet school?
