Located near the fabulous town hall of Salt Lake City, the park and his charming little lake offers an exceptional view on its surroundings! Every sunny day of the year people are running, walking and playing with their dogs in a beautiful natural environment. Well, most locals will like it because of its ‘strategic’ geographical location. The park is located near a little forest too, which expands the fun area not only for your dog , but for you too! Except the location, the lake and the town hall, people will keep coming to this little park because of the attractive little cafés in the surrounding area.
I once tried a little café and I was ill for the next 2 days …but to assure you, that café is now closed!
There is not really a parking because most of the park visitors come either by foot or with the bike. If you really want to check the park out by car, there are some parking spots available within 3 min. walk time…
If you are still not convinced of the attractiveness of the park, I can assure you that what will follow will change your mind for sure!
Each year the city organizes a sort of local ‘Lake Festival’ where people are allowed to swim in the lake. Small (and evenbig) music bands come by, not only to play, but to enjoy their time at the Salt Lake City park. During that festival time the festival often expands from the park to the surrounding cafés, which I can assure you, is rather a pleasant event.

Even though you can’t wait to leave and visit that park, I strongly recommend you to read the end of this article because that way, you won’t forget some bags to store your shopping articles… Yes, you read it right. The attractive little shops, full of original gift ideas, useful kitchen tools and much more, will fill your shopping bags faster than you think! To find these little shops, turn your back at the town hall, and walk straight ahead for (I timed it) 8 minutes. You will see the shops coming up fast!
If I can give my personal opinion (you can leave now if you can’t wait to see the park…), I think it’s a really attractive park for picnics, family walks, good time and of course… a rememberable walk with your dog!
