Review of Earth Therapeutics Thermal Socks Infused with Shea Butter

Several years ago I learned about socks that were infused with shea butter, and I have been enjoying them ever since. I recently purchased a pair of Thermal Socks with moisturizing shea butter made by Earth Therapeutics, and they are a real treat for tired feet!

Earth Therapeutics Thermal Socks with Shea Butter are expensive, I paid almost $15.00 for mine, but they are worth every penny. One pair fits most foot sizes 5-11. I wear a size 7 and these are a near perfect fit for my feet, but they do stretch so I can see how they would work for larger sized feet. If my feet were a size 5, I personally don’t think these would fit very well.

Earth Therapeutics Thermal Socks with Shea Butter come in a package that allows you to feel the socks, and after feeling them I knew I wanted them! The front of the package uses words such as “moisturizing”, “pamper”, “double layer”, “plush”, “extra warm”, and “toasty”. How could I refuse?

Earth Therapeutics Thermal Socks with Shea Butter are like getting two socks in one. According to the back of my package, the thick outer layer is made from 78% certified organic cotton and 22% spandex. The inside layer is made from 87% nylon, 10% polyester and 3% spandex. They are soft and thick and actually remind me of wool blend winter socks that I buy here in Alaska.

If you have ever worn moisturizing socks that are infused with shea butter, you know how soft they are. If you have never seen this type of sock, it is as soft as silk and feels very luxurious. Slipping these Earth Therapeutics Thermal Socks with Shea Butter onto my feet was heaven! Walking in them felt like walking on a cloud. Unlike the original shea butter infused socks, the outer sock on this style is not as slippery when walking on our hard wood floors.

The instructions say these can be washed in cold water on the gentle cycle, and tumble dried on low heat. My socks are white, but I cannot use bleach on them, only non-chlorine bleach. The packaging states that the shea butter infusion blend will usually last through around 15 washings. These socks have little to no odor associated with them.

I like to wear these socks after I have taken a bath and applied a good moisturizer to my feet. I like to wear them on a cold day, both around the house instead of slippers, or with a pair of wool clogs. These keep my feet so warm, however, that my feet do sweat from time to time, leaving the socks damp. That does not happen when I wear my wool socks, so that is one drawback for me. They also don’t really soften my feet, but they do make my feet feel fantastic while I am wearing them!

However, I do love my Earth Therapeutics Thermal Socks with Shea Butter, and I feel these would make a fantastic Christmas gift to pamper that special someone with.
