Review of 2011 Honda CR-V

In my possession is a new Honda CR-V. It is an absolutely incredible vehicle that I definitely recommend to all those who are looking for an SUV that gets great gas mileage and is extremely good at keeping the family safe.

The Honda CR-V has a four cylinder engine, a small wheel base, and a very light-weight frame. These factors contribute to the great gas mileage that it gets despite being a SUV. Thus, there is still plenty of room in the trunk for a college student to place all his or her belongings in when headed off to school or enough space to put a bunch of children’s sport equipment in for a big game. Moreover, all those trips back and forth to school, to sports games, or to wherever you may need to go will not cost you and arm and a leg. The only draw backs to the four cylinder engine, the light frame, and the small wheel base is that the car is not a speed demon, taking awhile to accelerate up huge inclines; the car is easily dented severely by small impacts, which require a great amount of money to fix; and the car does not handle turns at high speeds very well, making it likely to tip if one does not brake properly around a turn.

The CR-V has superb safety rating, which is a great feature especially for younger drivers and families. The light, flexible frame may make the car easy to damage but it is excellent at absorbing high energy blows and dispersing the energy so that the passengers of the vehicle sustain the least amount of damage possible. The air bag system is state-of-the-art and the car has side air bags which will protect passengers during a rollover or side impact.

The Honda CR-V handles well in all weather conditions. It is a four wheel drive car and has stability control system. It will take a lot to get this car off the road, which is another safety advantage. On top of how safe the CR-V is, it has a lot of endurance and is very durable. The car does not break down easily and requires little to no maintenance. I have driven the car many different times very great distances and it has held up and had virtually no issues. Furthermore, I accidently drove the car on a slow leak for over 600 miles and I still ran into no issues. The Honda CR-V may not be a sexy, flashy car but it is dependable, safe, and practical.
