First it was game night from hell, tea party from hell, and now Beach party from hell thanks to the antics of the ladies, especially Taylor Armstrong.
Everything began lovely with wedding planner Kevin Lee going all out to outfab Lisa Vanderpump and her daughter Pandora with more suggestions for the nuptials. The search for the perfect pink themed elegance for the reception was well under way. It seems that Lisa wants to give Pandora the wedding she wanted. Thanks to Kevin Lee that just may happen. Ohh cachet!
Kyle and her mother-in-law Estella have a follow-up with Dr. Nassif. Estella is looking fresh faced thanks to a 9-hour facelift but still wants some filler. Paul is happy to oblige and push Botox on Kyle. Kyle isn’t so sure as her needle phobia is in high gear.
Meanwhile, Adrienne has lunch with Brandi. Brandi announces that she wants to host a party for the girls in a Malibu beach house. Taylor and Camille are both invited which has Adrienne worried. Brandi thinks the two were fine at the fashion show but Adrienne warns her that things may get explosive. Brandi is optimistic but Adrienne’s warning is sadly true.
Brandi really is a sweetheart. Her attempts to make peace are genuine. The problem is, Brandi sees the best in people and unfortunately some individuals are just nasty souls. Hopefully Brandi will soon learn that keeping good company means keeping bad company away. Plus, Brandi is beautiful, tall, slim, and had a modeling career compared to Kyle who is spending way too much time being jealous of Brandi.
Speaking of dining, Kyle and her lady sitter Justin are preparing for a Cinco de Mayo feast to celebrate Mauricio’s Mexican pride. Kyle is cooking and styling her husband before the festivities begin. Estella also makes her debut looking years younger only to scare granddaughter Portia by her appearance. Kyle’s oldest daughter Farrah, who is so much more beautiful than her mother, is amazed at how long it took to get Estella looking fresh faced again.
Estella does look rejuvenated and in a natural way. It’s obvious she was a beautiful woman in her youth. Mauricio does take after mama. Estella is also a very intelligent woman. The sexy grandma looks like a rival for Sophia Loren in recent photo shoots. She is also a PhD and licensed sex therapist. Mauricio must have learned to love women and respect them from his mama. Lisa meanwhile is supervising the renovations for Sur looking very businesslike in a suit. She has definite ideas for the design of the restaurant if only the contractor would follow instructions. After all, she has designed over 26 clubs and homes so she knows what she is doing. Plus she has a new home décor book out too. With Ken now retired and taking care of Giggy, Lisa is running the Vanderpump empire. Adrienne is also supervising designs of her own as she reviews her shoe collection. Too bad she is up for competition with the Vanderpump Pump soon.
As the ladies prepare for Brandi’s beach party Kim decides to not go because Brando still doesn’t exist to her. She just can’t let it go. Even though she started it by hiding Brandi’s crutches at the game night from hell. Lisa isn’t going. Her and Ken are out for dinner and their crackling chemistry is still there after 28 years of marriage. I think Lisa had a sense drama would blow up and wisely declined to go. On the way to the Malibu party Taylor and Kyle are in a limo already tense about a showdown with Camille. Camille rides in her limo with D.D. and Elizabeth also hoping for the best. Camille doesn’t want drama. Unfortunately Taylor does.
What is the deal with Taylor? She claims all sorts of abuse but stays in the marriage. She is clearly fragile but seems to put herself in difficult situations. Kyle is doing her best but even she wonders what is up with Taylor. Whatever the case, the emotional disintegration is very sad to watch.
The crocodile hug between Camille and Taylor is awkward but things are ok at first. We see Linda Thompson, the former Mrs. Bruce Jenner, and Jennifer Giminez from Sober House among the other guests. Brandi brings in belly dance lessons but the fun doesn’t last. Kyle gets catty when Brandi calls Mauricio hot. What do you expect Kyle? You married a hunk? I don’t see Hugh Jackman’s wife complaining! Kyle also throws a laser beam on bra-less Brandi and goes nuts doing a belly dance. Kyle likes attention. It runs in the family. Her niece is Paris Hilton. She even does the splits.
Then the drama begins.
D.D. approaches Taylor to talk to Camille and Taylor begins to break down. Taylor goes into tears and a meltdown ensues when she tells Camille to take it outside. Before you know it Taylor is screaming, pretends to jump into the ocean, and screams like a mad woman. Adrienne tries to calm her down but Taylor only gets more agitated. Linda Thompson pleads with Taylor to be evolved but Taylor only disintegrates into sheer crazy. Kyle tries to calm Taylor down but Brandi has enough and asks Taylor to leave. Taylor curses at Brandi but does leave as do Adrienne and Camille and her gang.
The Malibu beach party was an attempt by Brandi to fit in and it has gone horribly wrong. Her friend Jennifer tells her that she just has to be herself.
On the ride home Taylor freaks out, demands a cigarette, and a worried Kyle is clearly concerned that this is a breakdown. Kyle herself wonders about the truth to Taylor’s accusations against Russell but is afraid to ask. Look at how angry Taylor is with Camille. Adrienne is right; it really has nothing to do with Camille but deeper issues in Taylor. Dr. Sophy where are you? Someone may need Valium and a whole cocktail of SSRIs.
