My 2011-2012 NCAA College Football Rankings After Week Nine

My rankings are finally up. A freak October snowstorm knocked out power and internet at my house Saturday and most of Sunday. The number of undefeated teams shrank to six this week. Clemson was upset by Georgia Tech and Oklahoma knocked Kansas State down. Michigan State ran out of magic and lost to Nebraska. The Badgers were upset by Ohio State. West Virginia, Washington, and Texas worked themselves back into the rankings. Perhaps the biggest winner was Houston who moved up to #7.

The biggest match up this week is #1 LSU at #2 Alabama. Can #19 Kansas State regroup at #4 Oklahoma State? #6 Oregon visits #24 Washington on Saturday. Texas A&M at #9 Oklahoma should be a good match up. #10 South Carolina at #11Arkansas is an important SEC game since the Gamecocks are trying to wrap up the SEC East. #13 Michigan at Iowa should be a great game. #22 Cincinnati visits Pitt in an important Big East match up. Louisville at #23 West Virginia will be a key Big East game as well. Texas Tech at #25 Texas should be a huge game as well.
