Here’s to Macaroni and Cheese for lunch!
When sun climbs up to mark the nigh midday
And all is bathed in calm of afternoon
When hunger rumbles, tumbles on its way
Demanding to be satiated soon
O! there’s the time to look for some good nosh!
But what to choose? Peer deep into the fridge.
Some cold lasagna, cassarolish slosh,
Unsatisfying greens, or just a smidge
Of last night’s myst’ry meal still overdone.
But soft! Lunch calls for fare so fun, so please,
Break out the pasta – yes, thou knowst the one!
This hour doth call for macaroni cheese!
Such joy of orange fare is never small
For macaroni cheese tastes best of all!
