It’s Time to Enjoy a Little Gingerbread with the New Droid Bionic

When it comes to cell phones, there are just too many options these days. Blackberry, Windows, iPhone, Feature Phones, and what seems to be really ruling the wireless market today is the Android.

Verizon Wireless has to be one of the best carriers out there– although expensive– they do carry the very best of the best products with highest of quality in service to go with each product.

Among the newest in the smart phone world is the new Motorola Droid Bionic, packing it’s monster hard drive and latest LTE 4g technology, and the latest Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 software with a duel core processor, making it very fast.

A lot of the widgets that came on the phone are very cool and functional. With five totally customizable home screen displays, it is more than anyone would need.

One thing I really love about this phone is the fact that it has a large screen. One drawback is that it sometimes the display is fuzzy, but not very often. It’s not often enough for me to have a huge problem with the device.

One thing that should be known for those who are not as up on smart phones is the next person is that just because it is 4G capable doesn’t mean it is going to always be in 4G if it’s not available in all areas. It will still operate in 3G speed. In 4G, it is much faster than what I was accustomed to with 3G. When it would normally take 1.5 hours to download a movie, it only took about 6 minutes to download the same size file in 4G.

Because it is a 4G phone, be very careful if there are only 2GB on the data package. One can burn through that in no time with faster downloads.

Another draw back is the fact that it has no dedicated button for the camera feature, although it sports a 8+ mega pixel quality camera. The video quality is the clearest I have ever seen on a mobile device.

Calls seem clear and crisp. No dropped calls like some of the other phones I have had. The speaker phone function works great with consistent volume. With my previous phone, the speaker phone volume would cut out.

One of the best things about this phone for me is it’s long battery life. It is just unbelievable. One thing I found was that if advanced task killer is not on the phone, the battery will not last, so the apps have to all be shut down. That happens with any smart phone.

Over all I am very satisfied with the service the Bionic gives and it should last a long time. It– in my opinion– is very well worth the money spent.
