‘Dancing with Stars’ 13: Did Maks’ Outburst Offend Other Pro Dancer in Week 6?

After Maks Chmerkovskiy had his random outburst on “Dancing with the Stars” 13 in week 6, did he offend one of his fellow pro dancers on the show? After Maks and his celeb partner, Hope Solo, danced the rumba, judge Len Goodman said it was her worst dance of the season. Tired of the critical comments, Maks told the veteran judge he should think about getting out of the business after being in it for 50 years.

As Maks discussed his feelings at length with DWTS co-host, Brooke Burke, he said that it was his show and that he respects every dancer and celebrity who comes on the show and works so hard. In the background, Derek Hough was spotted with a shocked look on his face.

“I was personally extremely surprised,” Hough, 26, told PEOPLE backstage after the scene made between Maks and Len Goodman on “DWTS” 13.

“I feel like the judges have been incredibly generous,” Hough said. “But we’re all very emotional.”

“Being a seasoned professional, we know how the show works,” he said. “We understand the ins and outs. Even last week, I pretty much told Ricki (Lake) exactly what the judges were going to say, literally verbatim. You know what to expect.”

Derek didn’t say that he was offended by the comments Maks made on “Dancing with the Stars” 13 in week 6, but when he said it was his show, it had to take a few of the other dancers by surprise. Maks clarified with The Hollywood Reporter that he didn’t mean it selfishly.
