Welcome to the always exciting Week 13 PPR Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em, or PPR SESE as I like to call it.
Start ‘Em
Ryan Fitzpatrick (BUF)
Fitzpatrick looked more deserved of his new contract throwing for 264 yards and 3TD’s against the vaunted Jets defense. Fitzy has a slightly more attractive matchup this week against TEN who has been surprisingly good in the last few weeks against the pass. I still see 250 yards, 2TD and 1INT this week for Fitzpatrick.
LeGarrette Blount (TB)
LGB finally had a decent game last week against TEN going over 100 yards on 20 carries. This week the lowly Carolina Panthers run defense is in for another beat-down. Expect 115 yards rushing, 2 catches for 15 yards and 1TD for Blount.
Santonio Holmes (NYJ)
Holmes was targeted 9 times in the Jets game last week, only catching 2 balls. With a great matchup against WAS, look for Holmes to go over 100 yards on 6 catches with at least 1TD.
Sit ‘Em
Joe Flacco (BAL)
Good Joe/Bad Joe thought he had turned a corner with four straight games over 250 yards. But Bad Joe was back last week throwing for a measly 161 yards and 1TD. This week the Ravens face the #1 pass defense in the league allowing only 174 yards per game. I look for Flacco to have right around that with 160 yards, 1TD and one INT.
Michael Turner (ATL)
Turner faces the #1 overall defense in HOU this week, who is allowing less than 100 yards per game. With both Matt’s out as QB for HOU in this game, look for the Texans to try and control the clock with their running game. Turner goes for 75 yards, 1 catch, and zero TD’s this week.
Any New Orleans WR (NO)
The Saints offense blew up last week against the Giants. Don’t look for that trend to continue. Colston, Henderson and Moore have a combined 63 targets in the last four weeks, catching 43. In that same time period, Graham, Sproles and Pierre Thomas have 77 targets and 54 receptions. Against the #5 pass defense in the league, don’t expect any NO receiver to go for more than 4 catches for 50 yards and maybe a TD.
