Wal-Mart’s Coupon Policy: Every Couponer Should Have a Copy

Wal-Mart is a great place which offers its customers substantial savings every day. So a savvy shopper can really rack up on tremendous savings when using coupons along with Wal-mart everyday low prices. A store’s coupon policy is sometimes difficult to find. WalMart has one of the best coupon policies.

WalMart accepts all sorts of coupons. Wal-Mart’s coupon policy states they accepts the following types of coupons: internet, Catalina, manufacturer, and bottle caps. WalMart will only accept original coupons and they cannot be duplicates. Wal-Mart’s coupon policy states that they don’t accept expired coupons. However, they DO accept competitor coupons.

Competitor’s Coupons

Wal-Mart coupon policy informs customers that they accept coupons where the item has a specified price. An example would be for $2.99. (Example – Apple Jacks $3.98) They accept Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) coupons for items which have a specified price. And the competitor’s coupons must have a valid expiration date. These coupons are accepted in black and white too.

Manufacturer Coupons

WalMart accepts manufacturer coupons, meeting the following criteria: have a valid expiration date, (BOGO) Buy one get one free, may not be duplicated, for a dollar/cents amount off, for FREE items (But not those printed from off the internet), have a bar code which can be scanned, have the words “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on the, have the address to where the store can send for payment,and all coupons must have a valid serial number.

Internet Coupons

Wal-Mart’s coupon policy accepst internet coupons as well. The internet coupons have the same requirements as the manufacturer coupons. Internet coupons must have the following: must have a valid remit address, must be legible, must have valid expiration date, must have “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on the coupon.They must also have a scannable bar code. BOGO coupons must have a specified price or they will not be accepted. They are also accepted in black and white.

Soft Drink Container Caps

WalMart accepts soft drink container caps as well coupons.

Catalina Coupons/Checkout Coupons

Catalina coupons are coupons that are given to customers at the end of their register transaction. Catalina coupons can be used on the next transaction, not the current one. Wal-Mart coupon policy states that it accepts Catalina coupons if they have “Manufacturer Coupon” printed on them w/ specified item requirements printed on them.Wal-Mart’s coupon policy informs the customer that they will also accept Catalina coupons from competitors which specify a particular amount off on a particular item. (Example- Save $2.00 Morning Star burgers) A remit address must be present as on all coupons, and coupons must have a valid expiration date. And they must have a scannable bar code

Wal-Mart DO NOT accept the following coupons: Catalina coupons with dollar/cents off the entire purchase, a percent off the entire purchase price, competitor’s coupons with dollar/cents off a specific retailer, competitor’s coupons with percent off, competitor’s coupons that are BOGO without a specified price, competitor’s coupons which have a double or triple value, or internet coupons that require no purchase.

Although Wal-Mart does not double coupons, customers are pleased to learn in the coupon policy that they will allow customers to receive an overage.
