Treating Varicose Veins with Aroma Therapy

Varicose veins are veins near the surface of the skin that have become twisted and enlarged. Varicose veins are more common in the legs and ankles. Varicose veins are caused by weakened veins and valves in your legs which can be due to long hours of standing and walking because it increases the pressure in the veins of your legs.

Varicose veins often runs in a person’s family, aging, pregnancy or being overweight can also cause varicose veins. Varicose veins are dark blue veins under the skin that have become enlarged and twisted. Some of the more mild symptoms of varicose veins are the visibility of the dark blue veins, swelling in your ankles, feet and legs, tiredness, aching, burning and sometimes even itching over the veins.

Varicose veins are very common and usually are not a sign of a serious problem but sometimes it can be a sign of a blockage in the deeper veins called deep vein thrombosis. If you think you may be affected by deep vein thrombosis you should see a medical doctor.

Note: These are formulas that I have created and worked with over the years. Be sure to wear gloves when working with essential oils in their pure state and they should always be diluted with a carrier oil. Test a small path of skin with a tiny bit of the formula to make sure that you do not experience an allergic reaction before you use it on a large area of skin. No liability can be taken by me!
