There are quite a few ski resorts in the United States. I personally have not been to every resort out there but I have been to a few. I live in Ohio so the resorts I have visited have been in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York and the top four ski resorts in the Eastern United States that I have been to are Holiday Valley, Peak N Peak, Alpine Valley, and Brandywine.
Holiday Valley
Holiday Valley is my top choice. Holiday Valley is located in New York State. The reason why they are my favorite is that they have speed lifts which really will help cut down on the time you are riding the lift. This is a huge bonus for them as well as all the different runs they have. I like it also because there is more than one lodge so when you need a break or want to get some food the lodge is not over crowded with people.
Peak N Peak
Peak N Peak is my second favorite resort. Peak N Peak is located in Pennsylvania about an hour or two outside of Pittsburgh. Peak N Peak just went through so major renovations over the last few years and is a really nice resort now. The thing that stands out for me is the night skiing they have available is really nice and they have quite a few runs open at night.
Alpine Valley
Alpine Valley located in Ohio is my third choice. The reason why is because I am from Ohio and though there are many options to choose from they all have the same problem and that is line wait. Alpine Valley however, is not crowded very much which means you can go up and down the runs very quick compared to other resorts.
Brandywine
Brandywine is also located in Ohio and is my fourth choice. The reason why I choose this resort is for its snowboard park. This is one of Ohio’s best snowboard parks and rumor has it they are working on building a pipe again. The pipe back in the day was one of the best in Ohio.
These are my top four choices of ski resorts in the eastern United States. Other people may think differently but if you are looking for a good time give these a try. You will not be disappointed.
