Three Easy No-Sew Headband Tutorials

I love to craft, and create but there are days where I just don’t want to go anywhere near my sewing machine yet I still want to make something cute. Then there is my sister-in-law she has no idea how to sew, but would still love to make something creative. Luckily for both of us there are plenty of no-sew projects to choose from. In fact here are three of my favorite no-sew headband tutorials.

The Sewer, The Caker, The Copy Cat Maker: No-Sew Headbands

Vanessa at The Sewer, The Caker, The Copy Cat Maker created a great tutorial for a no-sew headband. She made her headbands for use at the gym, and based them upon the sweatbands of the eighties. The headbands, which are made from knit and terry cloth, were designed more for function than fashion but are very cute none the less.

Vanessa’s tutorial for her no-sew headbands is easy to follow with excellent step-by-step directions that are accompanied by plenty of pictures to show you exactly how to make your own.

Alisa Burke Redefine Creativity: Braided Headbands

Creative artist Alisa Burke shares a great tutorial on her blog, Alisa Burke Redefine Creativity, for no-sew Braided Headbands. Her headbands are made using a variety of different fabrics that are braided, and then attached to a plain headband that has been wrapped in the same fabric.

Alisa’s braided headband tutorial is very easy to follow, especially since this is a very easy project. Alisa uses a variety of different colors, and fabrics in her headbands that show the possibilities of the headbands that you can make with this tutorial.

Sugardoodle: Easy Ruffle Knotted Headband

This Easy Ruffle Knotted Headband at Sugardoodle is just that easy. The tutorial is written by Camille who blogs at Six Sister’s Stuff.

Camille’s Easy Ruffle Knotted Headband is made using a cheap Dollar Store headband and a small scrap of matching sheer fabric. Her tutorial is extremely easy to follow, as you basically just cut the sheer fabric into strips and tie it onto the headband. However, she does show several pictures showing how she made her headband.
