Manny Pacquiao Will Be Exposed in 2012

Manny Pacquiao has had an amazing run over the past few years. Despite the fact, that I feel he did not win any of the fights that he has had with Juan Marquez, he has still defeated a list of quality opponents. The beatdowns he put on Miguel Cotto and Oscar Delahoya, and his destructive KO of Ricky Hatton justifiably earned him fighter of the year in 2009, but I wonder how anyone can rank a man with just a few good fights as one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Did they forget that Manny Pacquiao was beaten decisively by Erik Morales, and counter-punched to death by Juan Marquez on three separate occasions? Following his fight with Cotto, Pacquaio has not fought anyone but hand picked Top Rank opponents. Freddy Roach and his entourage talk tough, but it was them and Pacquaio that walked away from random drug testing and a fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2009.

Jail or no jail, Mayweather is highly favored on the sports books for a reason. In 2012, he finally gets Pacquiao in the ring and makes victory look easy for the 43rd time in his professional career. Pacquiao is a great brawler, but Mayweather’s skill, speed, and size puts him in a completely different category as a boxer. Bob Arum knows this, which is why he would love to see Pacquiao fight Marquez once more first. Later this year, the super-fight that the public has been demanding will take place. Floyd Mayweather will give Manny Pacquiao a lesson in graceful boxing, and possibly offend millions of others in the process.
