Macho Man Randy Savage Included in New WWE ’12 DLC Pack Release

WWE ’12 already comes with a legend of WWE Legends like Vader, the Legion of Doom and Kevin Nash. PS3 and Xbox 360 owners can expand this roster further with an exclusive DLC pack that contains three WWE legends and two free downloads.

New WWE Wrestlers

The main highlight of the DLC pack is the inclusion of WWE legend “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Savage was included in the WWE All-Stars game, but he has never been the Smackdown vs. Raw series before.

The Savage included in the package is based off his match at Wrestlemania VII against The Ultimate Warrior. This was one of his greatest Wrestlemania matches as he wrestled with his career on the line and eventually reunited with Miss Elizabeth after a tough loss.

Batista and Mick Foley are the two other wrestlers included in the pack. It is nice that Batista got added to the game because is one of the biggest stars in modern-day WWE. Now WWE fans can create fantasy match-ups between him and other WWE Superstars like Dolph Ziggler, Mason Ryan and Wade Barrett.

Mick Foley’s addition is perfect for matches in the game like the Hell in a Cell match, Last Man Standing and Inferno match. He comes dressed in his classic flannel shirt and black pants ring gear.

The DLC pack costs 80 points on Xbox Live or .99 cents on the Playstation Network. WWE ’12 owners that signed up for the Fan Axxcess Package receive the DLC for free.

Free Wrestlers

WWE ’12 players can access two free superstar downloads that were released with the DLC package. The first is Brodus Clay. Clay is not in his “Funkosaurus” attire, but rather his 2011 look when he managed Alberto Del Rio on “Friday Night Smackdown.”

The second free download is the classic Masked Kane. This version matches his debut in 1997 when he attacked the Undertaker and started a feud that lasted for several months. The retro look has been featured in several WWE games before, so it’s nice that this is a free download.

Wii Versions

Wii owners are left out of the loop for DLC content. Not only will they never get a chance to download the new roster members, but the Wii port of the game is a lot different from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

The “Create-An-Arena” mode is completely removed, upgraded ring physics and weapon interactions are not present, and the roster is limited because of the lack of a hard drive on the Wii. It is disappointing when comparing both games, but hopefully the Wii-U can supply the same gaming performance that the other consoles have had. It adds so much more to the games when there is an online community and chance to expand.

Go to the WWE Axxcess menu in WWE ’12 to find the DLC downloads available for purchase.
