Lindsay Lohan is at it again. This time she is making a desperate grab for attention by doing what falling Hollywood starlets have tried for years: Lindsay Lohan is getting nude for Playboy.
This month the young former starlet posed in a risque, full nude photo-shoot for the infamous men’s magazine. Lindsay will be earning a reported $1 million for the spread. And spread is the operative word, as reports have surfaced that she won’t be doing the traditional Hollywood nude glamour shot, but the complete Full Monty. We’ll soon see all the good (and not-so-good) parts of Lindsay Lohan in all their Photoshopped glory.
The question I have, however, is does anybody care? The “Herbie Fully Loaded” star’s most recent notable acting role was in a B-movie called “Machete”. While she’s had other roles, none have shown any of the talent her fame naturally suggests.
Lindsay has done somewhat tasteful nudity before, most notably pretending to be a nude Marilyn Monroe in a 2008 New York Magazine spread. While there was brief excitement for the actress, nothing came of it. And now reports are that Playboy needs to do re-shoots, apparently unhappy with the original photo spread.
Hot on the heels of her Playboy shoot, Lindsay is in trouble yet again with police. It seems the actress was serving a community service stint at a women’s shelter and decided to not show up for work. This has landed her a 30 day jail sentence to be served after shooting the Playboy pictorial (reports suggest she won’t serve due to prison overcrowding). This continues the trouble that began with a 2007 drunk driving charge which propelled Lindsay down a troubled path of court appearances and continued tabloid media frenzy.
It’s yet to be seen how Lindsay’s nudity will be accepted by the public. Do people still care about the once promising 25 year-old enough to want to see her fully in the buff, or will the public finally reject her being thrust back in the spotlight once again for every reason but her acting abilities? Perhaps the troubled young woman can get her act together and find some peace after Playboy and another stint in the slammer. But I wouldn’t bet on it.
