Often, those who desire to make it big in the professional league of creative writing are given some guidelines, certain rules, taught scales of measuring a poem and cliched metaphors are usually encouraged to enhance their creativity. But, this is leading to more and more number of novice Poets depending heavily on such cliches and much time is spent in forming a verse or a stanza that goes by the rules of the book.
I suggest we look up to the poets of the Romantic era, for they wrote came from the heart and cliched metaphors weren’t their poems part. In fact, once you discover the poet in you, the sole fun of talking becomes creating new lyrical metaphors.
And I must say, the most beautiful form of Poetry comes from the soul, as Art is the language of the soul. And poetry is meant to break the barriers of the human tongue. Let your inspirations and guidance through external means be simple and less. And try to enhance yourself through the will of your heart. Untainted poetry is fast fading into the shadows of history. Beautiful poetry is not a mystery, it is but a wonderful way to describe your own reality.
