How Do We Know What’s Best for Our Children?

When it comes to raising a child, we all wish there was an instruction manual that came with them, however there isn’t. But on the bright side here are just a few benefits of hiring a nanny over putting your child in daycare.

1. Your child is being taught what you want them being taught.
The little girl I have the pleasure of watching, is 2 and learning how to speak. One major benefit of having one-on-one nannying is your child’s speech intake doubles. I work with Cholie, everyday, on our colors, and numbers and basic words. With daycare where there are other children, you do not know for sure what those children are saying, and 2 year old’s, have a tendency to repeat everything.

2. Better availability.
With daycare you usually pay to have your child watched from eight to five Monday through Friday, then you need a separate sitter for “date-nights.” If you have one nanny, it makes date-night way easier to plan. This week Cholie’s parents are going out on a much needed date, and being as I am specifically their nanny, planning it was hassle free

3. Your Child’s health.
If only we lived in a germ free world! Sadly we do not. And keeping your child in there own environment, keeps them so much healthier. They are not exposed to as many germs. Although many day care places have highly improved there sterilization process, some places still struggle to keep everything clean. As well as the risk of the flu or another common sickness getting spread to your child is greatly reduced.

4.You know who your child is in the care of.
You as a parent has the right to know exactly who the person is taking care of your child. Having a nanny makes it a tad easier to be able to know. With daycare’s, you can only do so much research as well as there are many different employees. I have sat for a few families where I’ve had my drivers license copied and my background checked, and it’s harder to do that with daycare centers.

5. A new family friend.
I absolutely love the family I nanny for. It is great for your child to have someone stable in there life that they know they can count on. I plan on being Cholie’s nanny until she can watch herself, but when she is able to watch herself, she knows she can always give me a call and I’d be there in a heartbeat.

It takes a village to raise a child, so why not add one more villager to your family.
