I’ve done the things that made you mad,
without even meaning to.
I found out myself the things that you said,
when I should’ve just listened to you.
I’ve walked a mile when only half was required
’cause I chose to do it the hard way.
I didn’t listen, thought I knew it all
and did the opposite of what you would say.
Out of all the things I’m guilty of
and the times you were upset with me,
I want you to know without a doubt
the things that you didn’t see.
Like the love I had throughout it all
and being proud to have you as my dad
and how thankful I have always been
for you and the life that I had.
