Eating Healthy and Gaining/Losing Weight

Alright as many of us have realized we can’t always look the way we want to. Some of us want to be supermodel skinny and some of us want to look like body builders, but you have to remember that a lot of your body type is determined by the type of parents that you have. For example don’t expect to be super skinny if you have ‘heavy-set’ parents and don’t’ expect to be too big if you have parents that are lean.

The best way to lose weight is to simply burn more calories than you take in and the best way to put on weight is to take in more calories than you burn. People who are more active usually have a hard time gaining weight. A good ways to gain weight is to join a local gym and work out via weight training. Weight training is a great way to increase your muscle mass, gain weight, and look better. If you want to gain weight through weight training it is good to remember that while you are lifting you out your body under a lot of stress and your body has to refuel the best way to refuel after a tough workout is with a good source of protein and also you could drink an energy drink like Gatorade or Vitamin Water. This has to be a continuous thing and not something that you do sometimes and then stop, you actually have to work and be consistent. It also helps if you get enough sleep (preferably 8 hours a night), and go to bed earlier to rest your muscles. It is important to remember that you should never push yourself too far, remember everybody has their limits, and also you should stretch before and after every single workout.

Losing weight is a different story. to lose weight you have to know that results will not come in one day, you have to be active and develop eating habits that promote a healthy lifestyle. Just like gaining weight you can also lose weight by joining a local gym. At the gym there are many facilities that you can use, treadmill running, playing sports, stair climb machines, swimming, and the list goes on. It shouldn’t be hard for you to find something you like doing and remember to have fun doing it. It doesn’t make sense to lose weight or gain weight if it makes you unhappy while you are doing it.
