Casey and His Day of Window Browsing

Casey lives his his owner in a house. Casey is a cat that has lived in this house since he was just a kitten. He loves his owner Maggie very much. Maggie feeds him and shares her huge bed with him. However, the greatest thing Maggie does is she makes sure the blinds of the window by the street are open so Casey can window browse.

Casey loves to window browse. He jumps up on his perch on the window right after Maggie rubs his belly as she is heading out the door each morning. Casey can always count on being entertained by Maggie’s neighbor. He is always late for work and always yells and jumps around after he kicks the big bowl that would hold a lot of cat food off the stoop. “I keep forgetting, Mr. Redface calls it a flower pot,” meows Casey.

Soon after the yelling is over and Mr. Redface has fixed flower pot, Casey looks down the sidewalk. “Here comes Mrs. Gabby, her friend and the two little gigglers,” meows Casey. “I wish I could be pushed around like that,” meowed Casey, as the two little gigglers point in the window and laugh at Casey. “Maybe someday Maggie will get me one.”

As two bluebirds fly by the window, Casey gets up and stretches. “It’s lunchtime,” meows Casey.

Casey hears the door open. He goes running into the hallway. Maggie smiles as she bends down to pick Casey up.

“Have you had a good morning?” asks Maggie.

Casey just purrs as Maggie rubs his chin. Casey places his head on Maggie’s shoulder and purrs even louder.

“I guess you have,” she says.
