Broadband Tech India

In an effort to expand India’s economic possibilities and the education choices for its citizens this years Broadband Tech India 2011 conference will focus on meeting the vision created the National Telecom Policy-2011. In this policy is the hope that Indian citizens will have access to fast, reliable and affordable Internet services.

The Conference

On November 18th the 8th annual Broadband Tech India Conference begins in New Delhi. There many of the technological innovations that can help to shape the future of India’s broadband availability. An important necessity as the country attempts to expand its economic options. This is also part of India’s e-education expansion which is helping to create new learning possibilities to the citizens seeking to gain new degrees and skills in and outside of the technology community.

Goals

Improving India’s standing in the technology world is a lofty dream but not an unreachable one. With plans in place and growing funding the National Telecom Policy hopes to be able to reach over 175 million users by the year 2017 and 600 million by 2020. If things go as planned India residents will be able to access the Internet with speeds of up to 2 Mbps whenever needed. Achieving broadband access to most villages in India is only one more step in the nation’s attempts to become more active in educational end economic circles on a global scale.

Company Involvement

The conference will not only be addressing future pans but also the current broadband use and providers in the existing marketplace. By discussing how providers reach customer and how they can make their services more accessible to the general public. Their main focus with existing ISP’s will be on how they market their services and creating new marketing strategies.

Over 500 businesses are expected to contribute to the discussions that will range from the marketing of current technologies as well as changes in trends. This forum will provide for open discussions between the visionaries who will help to guide the future of India’s place in the technology community and those who will help to create the plans to execute these visions in the best interest of India and its citizens
