Apollo 18 Movie Review Through the Eyes of My Family! a Must See Movie of the Year

Labor day was here and I give my family two choices for the days activities, the beach or a movie and lunch. The beach would be crowded, a longer drive, and possibly a bad cause of sunburn. And my 12 year, Jonah, was wanting to see Apollo 18, so the decision was made, movietime!

The plan was to leave early enough to do lunch, at a Chinese buffet, and then leave in time for the show. We were all impressed with the restaurant, I had 2 slices of chocolate cheese cake! yum! Now we were all ready for some relaxing entertainment and high hopes the movie would be as good as the cheese cake.

Matinee prices were 6 dollars, so all three of us got in for a twenty. It was a newer theater, good seats, and enough slope that even someone sitting in front of you from the Boston Celtics wouldn’t block your view. Except for one guy talking to himself, the theater was all ours, we were early alright! Got perfect seats, directly in front of the screen and towards the back, less strain on your eyes.

Finally the movie started with Houston can you read me. All thru the movie that was a common refrain, and the connection was similar to a trucker CB radio. I kept waiting to hear 10-4 good buddy. Another nice touch was the 2 spacecrafts in the movie were called liberty and freedom, be careful, they both look alike.

If you are like me, you don’t want to know the ending, but I will let you know it is one of the best parts. Many times I was on the edge of my seat, and i noticed Jonah was too,and my wife was getting a little bit scared. It is well worth the time and money, and give me something to think about all day. It is presented as true, but decide yourself.
