Here is why parents should talk to our children about the forbidden topic, sex.

Teen pregnancy is becoming an epidemic. Teens do not realize how serious raising a child is. They think it is a fairy tale. It isn’t. Pregnancy is a big responsibility. There are many complications teens are unaware of, and they are not emotionally prepared to handle them. Babies are expensive, and teens are not financially ready for them. Children should not bring children into this world. It isn’t easy to raise a child, even as an adult. As adults, we too struggle emotionally and financially when we have children.

STDs are sexually transmitted diseases. Those who have sex and do not use protection are putting themselves and their partners at risk. There are STDs out there that are fatal. The two main STDs are HIV and the AIDS virus. These two are fatal. The other STDs can lead to serious health risks.

Responsibility

Sex is a big responsibility. It is something you shouldn’t take lightly. Teen pregnancy is a major responsibility. Honestly, teens are not emotionally ready to handle this issue. Maturity plays a major role.

Parents need to inform their children about sex and the consequences. The sooner the talk takes place, the better children will be prepared and informed. This is serious and should not be taken lightly. Do not wait to have the talk with your kids.
