What Are the Chances of This Happening?

What are the chances of this happening? This is the phrase used by Steven Lynn of Craighead County, Arkansas.

Steven Lynn wanted to ride in a plane. He had never ridden in one, so was primed to try it one time. His friend had a small engine plane, and offered Lynn the opportunity to go for a ride on Monday, August 29, 2011. Lynn readily agreed and boarded the plane.

Lynn enjoyed the ride immensely, and asked his friend if they could do a flyover of his house in
Craighead County, Arkansas. “No problem,” the pilot said.

They flew over his house, and the pilot remarked that there were two men coming out of Lynn’s house with some articles. Lynn was surprised and they both figured out that Lynn’s home was being robbed.

The quick action of Lynn and the pilot alerted the police that two men were coming out of Lynn’s home. Lynn knew that by the time the police got there that these two men would have fled. The pilot and Lynn decided to follow the men in the plane. They get watch on them and alerted the police their where abouts.

The robbers, Peel and Smith, were arrested and pled “not guilty.”

Lynn retrieved most of his stolen property. When interviewed by a local television station, KATV in Little Rock, he admited to being amazed that his first plane ride could turn into a bloched robbery attempt on his own home.
