Week 2 NFL Safe Bets – If there is such a thing in this league of parity…

Detroit Lions – The Lions are on the way up with a monster defensive line and an explosive emerging offense.

NY Jets – Jacksonville is not in the same class.

Baltimore Ravens – Baltimore had a very legit, very convincing win over Pittsburgh. Tennesse is no problem, even at home.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Tough loss last week, but will rebound with a nice easy matchup at home vs. Seattle.

Green Bay Packers – Carolina showed some flashes of potential last week but they aren’t ready to take on the super bowl champs.

NY Giants – A little embarrassed after losing to division rival WAS, the Giants will bring their A game this week.

Week 2 NFL Closer Calls – Go with your gut…

New Orleans Saints – Chicago will play them tough but Drew Brees will pull it out.

Philadelphia Eagles – ATL is also a very good offensive team but Philly’s defense will make the difference. Matt Ryan will be throwing against three elite corners.

Buffalo Bills – Oakland is so inconsistent. I will take Fitzpatrick and the Bills offense to pull out a win late.

Minnesota Vikings – The Vikings defense performed surprisingly well against Phillip Rivers and Co. McNabb and AP will get it done this week against the Bucs.

Houston Texans – Schaub and Henne will light up the scoreboard but the Texans are the better team.

Denver Broncos – They should have won last week. They will find the going easier against Cincinnat.

Week 2 NFL Knuckle Balls – Who knows…

Washington Redskins – They impressed me last week in the win over NYG. Arizona allowed 422 yards to a quarterback in his first ever NFL game.

Dallas Cowboys – They had NYJ on the ropes and let it slip away. The game against San Fran will be close too as they always seem to play to the level of their opponent.

New England Patriots – I am surprised they are favored by the full seven against a very good San Diego team. Against the spread I would take SD but straight up the Patriots will pull it out.

Week 2 NFL Upsets – Embrace the underdog…

Indianapolis Colts – Never thought I would be taking them as an upset pick here in Week 2. I like this veteran group to rally at home and take a winnable game from Cleveland.
