Poverty and Blight

Poverty and blight,
Terrible sight,
Ignored by politicians.
Poverty and blight,
just isn’t right,
Needs a critical mission.
Riches for the wealthy
Isn’t very healthy
For people who lack
Shelter and food.
Riches for the wealthy
Is truly unhealthy
And puts our citizens
In a foul mood.
When our safety net is shattered
To keep the rich feeling grand,
We see the results of despair
That creeps across our land.
