I have been noticing more makeup addicts rave about the brand LORAC. This is a high end brand that is sold at cosmetic stores, such as Ulta and Sephora. I have not heard a lot about their products until recently and they have a great starter kit for those of us who want to try their line.
Their “Close Up Face Kit” retails for $39 at Ulta stores and online and is stated as containing a value of $112 worth of cosmetic products.
This kit not only contains 5 products, but each of these are full size. Most of the time, these value kits might have 1 or 2 full sized items with several mini or travel sized included. This is a great value and a good kit to get started, or to be given as a gift.
The kit included the following: mascara, lip gloss, eye liner, shadow and blush to complete your look. If you are a gal who doesn’t like foundation, this kit really does contain everything you might need for a neutral, easy to do look.
The gloss is a very light pinky peach and the eye shadow has the same tones. The shadow is pretty unique as it contains 3 colors in one container. The circle is cut into triangles, each shape containing a different color. There is a light base or highlight, a peachy lid color and a darker brown crease shade. This darker color can certainly be used as a liner or to use on your bottom lash line.
This kit is great to office or school wear, but can be used to create a more evening look. For a little more drama, simply use the darker shadow to create a smoky eye paired with the liner. Give yourself a winged liner effect by dragging the line slightly out and upward on your top lash line. This will give you have winged effect, perfect for a night out on the town. Add the lip gloss for a subtle shimmer and a new effect.
Have your own favorite lipstick? No problem, this color will probably work over several shades.
The mascara has a curved wand. I don’t particularly like bent mascara wands, but some might. Many mascara wearers find that having the end curved will help with eyelash lift and curl.
The packaging is classy and sophisticated, yet simple.
