John Morrison’s Losing Streak is Over; Recent Events Prove JoMo is Out of the Doghouse

Tonight on the Raw SuperShow (November 7, 2011), John Morrison defeated United States Champion Dolph Ziggler in a non title match. This was a huge victory for Morrison, because he has been on a losing streak for several weeks now. Since mid-August, JoMo has failed to win a match. During Morrison’s losing streak, Morrison lost to the following superstars:

Cody Rhodes

Mark Henry (twice)

Wade Barrett,

Alberto Del Rio

Drew McIntyre (on November 3rd edition of WWE Superstars)

Many people believed (or still believe) that JoMo is in the doghouse because of his on/off relationship with former Diva Melina Perez. During her stint in the WWE, she caused lots of problems with her (infidelity & instigating), and Morrison’s alliance with her has caused him to be de-pushed various times.

Wrestling insiders claim Vince McMahon doesn’t respect Morrison because he feels Morrison isn’t a real man. Despite that, a recent article on WWE.COM, and tweets from Melina reveal that Morrison may finally get a push again.

Melina was released from WWE in August 2011, and Morrison and Melina were still together. Days after her release, she went with Morrison to a WWE live event, and attempted to go inside. WWE Officials didn’t allow her to go inside, and she tweeted how disappointed she was back in August.

John Morrison issued a statement on August 5, 2011, expressing his sadness that Melina had been released. If you want to read it, click below:

Remember, all of that happened in August 2011, the month she was released from WWE. In October 2011, Melina begin to tweet messages that suggested that her relationship with Morrison may potentially be over.

“I’m proud of my heart. It’s been played, stabbed, cheated, burned and broken, but somehow still works.”

“I never get jealous when I see my ex with someone else, because my parents always taught me to give my used toys to the less fortunate.”

Recently on November 6, 2011, Melina tweeted this message:

“I haven’t met Mr. Right yet. But I have met Mr. Fake, Mr. Rude, Mr. Wrong & Mr. Player.”

She then wrote regarding the message, “But I pray 1 day I’ll meet Mr Right!”

On November 4, 2011, WWE.COM published an article titled “”Has JoMo lost his mojo?” In the article John Morrison explains why he has been on a losing streak:

“I came back a little bit too early. Physically, I’m here. Spiritually, I’m out of my mind. I’ve got all these things going on in the periphery.”

“What I need to do is cut everything off and go back to square one. What was it that made me want to get into this business as a little John Morrison? I’ve lost touch with that. And for me to be a success I need to get it back.”

Two days later on Nov 7, 2011 , John Morrison defeated US Champion Dolph Ziggler in a non title match, ending his losing streak. Since the WWE has turned Morrison’s losing streak into a storyline, it’s obvious that Morrison will not be released.

His win against Ziggler on the Nov 7th episode of Raw means that the creative has something for him. It also means that he has finally cleaned up his personal life, if you get my drift. Hopefully, Morrison can keep it clean and not make the same old mistakes that caused him to get into a lot of trouble.
