DANIELLE KNOX FOILS THE SECRET INVASION
Danielle Knox was her given name but ever one called her Danny. She was born and raised in a small town in Missouri called Perryville. She stood a little over five feet tall, she has a heart of gold but that sweet disposition could and would change in a heartbeat if she were treated poorly. She graduated from Perryville senior high and attended a small college, her dreams were to attend classes of culinary art and open a cup cake shop in St Louis. It would be a day in the latter part of the month of October in the year 2011 when all that would change. Upon completing her visit to the local Wal-Mart, as she was walking towards her car she noticed a fairly large group of Monarch butterflies flying to the southwest. Danny always held a great love for these insects that display such vivid colors and in their own unique patterns. She storied her purchases in her car and followed the insects on foot with great curiosity. The butterflies flew a little under half a mile and enter a wooded area on the West Side of highway 51. Danny followed the insects, A few hundred feet into the woods she found thousands of these beautiful insects circling this one area. What was the attraction she thought, she was over come out of curiosity and decided investigate.
Partially buried in the earth was a large metallic object, with strange symbols on it hull. As she circled the object she found a hatchway that was partial open. She was over come by curiosity, and force the hatchway open and entered. It was dark and had rather a musty smell she realized that she would have to return another day to explore this strange craft with a flashlight. As she was leaving she found a book, she thought maybe it might shed some light on what she had found. Upon leaving she forced the hatchway closed, the butterflies disbursed in all direction it was as if something inside this metal object attracted them. Danny made the trip back to her car and started driving home; her thoughts were with the strange hunk of metal that she found and the book that she retrieved.
Danny found sleep an elusive state at night and spend most of the time on her computer talking to friends on face book or searching the internet for knowledge that she found interesting. Later that night Danny took the book she had found into her bedroom, the book contains symbols that she had never seen before. She thought it would be a challenge to somehow decode the book. The books first page look like it could possible be an index, if one were to read from right to left. Each page had a symbol in its lower right hand corner and she felt it must be some type of numbering system, she recorded these observations on a word program in her computer. The next morning right before the sun rose she made a trip back to the treasure in the woods that she found. This time with a flashlight she was able to explore fully this object of her curiosity. She jotted down different observation that she made and used her cell phone to take pictures to study later.
Later that night she started studying the pictures that she took, What appeared to be levers, knobs and buttons were stencil with symbols that must reveal the function that they perform. She found these symbols in the book and realized that it must be an operation manual. She was able to break down some of the words by the pictures on her cell phone. Buttons were pushed, knob were open or closed and levers were either operated up or down. It was not a major break thought in understand the manual but she felt it was a start. In the manual she found a sketch that looked like a flight yolk that she seen on a few movies on air planes. The sketch had symbols and arrows for up, down, left and right, the symbols on the door had to be for open, close or lock and unlock. She had master their number system and been able to understand a little over ten of the words of this strange language. The next day was Saturday; she would have the whole day to explore this strange object in the woods that she nicknamed Danny’s place. She park her car in Wal-Mart’s parking lot and walked the half mile and into the woods. She took notes for most of the day, she found and opened a container, and it appeared to be some type of helmet. She decided to try the helmet on and compare it to her head size, maybe that would be a clue to the size of the people that normally operated this flying craft. The helmet was barely upon her head when the inside of the craft lighted up like a Christmas and Danny passed out.
Her parent after 24 hours contacted the police and filed a missing person report. After the second day they place posters around town in hopes of finding their missing daughter. An effort was made to find her location by doing a GPS on her cell phone but that also failed. It was no comfort that the police found Danny’s car in Wal-Mart’s parking lot. Prayers were said for her safe return and the nights for her love ones were spent without sleep.
After a while Danny woke up and removed the helmet and she felt very hungry and thirsty and decided to head home. She walked out of the woods and upon arriving at the highway her mind went blank and she just started walking. An officer in a passing patrol car recognized her as a missing person that they were searching for and picked her up. Danny was driven to the police station and her parents were notified. She was question by the police and her parents about the days she was missing. Danny’s mind was blank; she lost all memory of her treasure in the woods. She sat in fear and crying trying to remember the last three days that were missing out of her life. She was taken to the hospital and was given a full examination and nothing out of the ordinary could be found except for a few scratches on her legs. After a few days of rest, life fell back into its normal routine, and all was forgotten about the strange craft in the woods and the book that she found was lost somewhere in her room.
Danny routine returned to normal unaware that the helmet that she so carelessly placed upon her head deposited nano bots into her body. The nano bots were sub miniature robots slightly smaller than a red blood cell; they attached themselves to the nerve cells of the host. The nano bots could control a person or they could influence a person decision. They also were able to multiply by using different minerals found in the human host. The nano bots transmitted knowledge to Danny’s memory cells. A great sum of earth currency would have to be obtained to complete the next step of the coming invasion. Over night Danny gain knowledge of the stock market through the nano bots. After a few weeks she started watching the stock markets on the Internet and in the newspapers. To her friends when she was talked about the stock market they found it very boring. Danny started investing the little she had into the penny stocks, and with the profit she reinvested. After a few months she started investing in the major stock market. Ever choice she made was with out error. The Saint Louis post dispatch, Southeastern Missouiran and the local Monitor ran stories of this child protégé. A few months prior she was unheard of in the stock market and now every one was watching her in order to find a safe haven for their investments. Within six months Danny manage to cash in her stock and place a little over one hundred thousand dollars towards her cup cake shop in St Louis.
She lost all interest in the stock market but in the middle of St Louis was Danielle cup cake shop. For the first two weeks Danny gave away free cup cakes; she felt once they tasted her wares they would make a return visit. The number of nano bots still increased in her body, when she was preparing the cup cakes some of the nano bots escaped and entered the cup cakes as they were being prepared, so they could infect other hosts. The nano bots caused a craving in it host to purchase more cup cakes and share them with their friends. Within a few months the town of St Louis was control by the nano bots and new areas to infect needed to be found.
The crime rate for St Louis fell to zero, as did its sister city across the river in Illinois. The police departments were disbanded, as was the National Guard. Citizens destroyed all there guns and weapons because they felt no need to retain these instruments of death. The nano bots manage to infect most of the state of Missouri when the aliens arrived. With the help of the nano bots they turned the humans that were infected into slaves. The infection of nano bots spread rapidly and with in a few months the free will of the inhabitance of this planet would be lost.
Danny was still working hard in her place of business when she slipped on some icing that spilled on the floor. It was a nasty fall, and she struck her head on the corner of a metal table, one of the metal legs cut in to a 220-volt power cord and the electrical shock sent Danny flying across the room. The blow triggered something in her heart and soul, for the first time in months she had full control of her mind. She realized that somehow she had to find a way of freeing the human race from the aliens and slavery. Danny regained knowledge of that spacecraft in the woods that at one time she called Danny’s place. Hopefully it would hold the answer to the alien invasion. Danny made a very large batch of cup cakes and made an excuse to deliver them to Perryville. When she the exited hwy 55 for Perryville, instead of turning towards town she turned in the opposite direction toward the spacecraft in the woods. She pulled the vehicle on the shoulder of the road and ran to the craft. The nano bots that infected her body at first tried to stop her though her mind, then when that failed the only other choice was to terminate the host. As Danny entered the craft, her noise started bleeding, the nano bots were slowly destroying her body, she knew that she must hurry before they completed their task.
The nano bots made one fatal error when they infected Danny’s body, they gave her knowledge of the craft. Danny used the controls to do a vertical take off, when she reach two thousand feet she hit the master switch to link all the aliens space craft controls together. She sent out the command for each craft to send out an electrical magnetic pulse, this pulse would disable all the nano bots. For the first time in months the human race would again be free. With the space crafts still link together, Danny grabbed a cylinder from a compartment and hit two buttons on the control panel and entered a password that she managed to retrieve before the nano bots were destroyed. One of the buttons was a transporter that had the ability to transmit matter. She said in tears “I love you Mom and Dad” as the spacecraft finish it counts down to self-destruction. The spacecraft’s that filled the sky on our planet received the same self-destruction command. Parts of the craft rained down over a half-mile area, the explosion could be heard ten miles away. Danny’s body was transmitted a little over a mile away; she lay in a field for what seemed like a lifetime. Her body lay bleeding from the damage the nano bots created and the shock of the explosion. Very near death she knew that her love ones were safe, the thoughts of her family filled her memory, she smile a very broad smile and as the light that make this earth faded and she fell into a coma. Once again the human race was safe and the alien invasion was defeated. No one would ever know the person that saved the human race, no statues would be build, nor would it be read about in the history books or the local news papers. A police car driving down hwy 51 to investigate the explosion found this young lady lying in a field. He checked for a pulse, it was weak but she was still alive. The paramedics were called it would be a life and death struggled but only time would tell. Her accident from the police report would read that a car or flying debris from the explosion struck her.
Danny laid in a coma for little over a month; her body was fighting a life and death struggle. It was on a cold winter morning when she regained conciseness; her mom was asleep in a chair next to her bed. Danny smile and say “Mom what’s for breakfast I am starving” Her mom awoken and they hug for the longest time, the front of their cloths grew wet out of tears of happiness. Danny these days can be found in downtown St Louis at Danielle cup cake shop. She stays very busy during the day but some nights in the darkness she awakes in a cold sweat thinking about the freedom we almost lost.
