Crochet a water frisbie for those dogs who enjoy swimming. Use fabric netting to crochet the water frisbie or cut 1-inch strips from mesh fruit bags to create a recycled frisbie.

2-inch strips of fabric netting
Size N/15/9mm crochet hook
Scissors
Frisbie Instructions:
Row 1 – Chain 2 stitches. Single crochet three times in the second chain from the end. Join the last stitch to the first stitch in the row with a slipstitch in this row and each row hereafter.
Row 2 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet twice in each stitch around for a total of 6 stitches. Join.
Row 3 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet twice in each stitch around for a total of 12 stitches. Join.
Row 4 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet twice in each stitch around for a total of 24 stitches. Join.
Row 5 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet once in each stitch around. Join.
Row 6 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet once, then single crochet twice in the next stitch – repeat the pattern around for a total of 36 stitches. Join.
Row 7 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet in each stitch around. Join.
Row 8 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet in the next two stitches, then single crochet twice in the next stitch – repeat the pattern around for a total of 48 stitches. Join.
Row 9 – Chain 1 stitch. Single crochet once in each stitch around. Join. Finish off. Weave the cut end of the fabric netting back and forth through the last row of stitching.
A doggie water frisbie made from netting will float when thrown into the water. The construction of the netting prevents the dog from easily ripping and destroying the frisbie.
