A Three-Step Formula for Healing-Seven Part Teaching(Part 4 of 7)

In Part-Three of this seven part teaching, we defined the steps towards repentance.

The formula requires people to:
1. Humble themselves.
2. Pray and seek My face.
3. Turn from their wicked ways.

If they did this, God promised to:
1. Hear from Heaven.
2.Forgive their sins.
3. Heal their land.

In the following parts of this series we will look towards God’s reactions. God promises that if we humble ourselves, pray, and repent He will listen to us, have compassion on us, and heal us.

It is a grand, graceful and fulfilling, experience to have the one, great and true God, Yahweh, to turn His ear towards us. Accomplishing the attention of Yahweh is not like achieving a one-on-one visit with the President of the United States. But, it’s much easier! Yahweh is our father. We are His children. After the discipline, and even during, Yahweh’s heart is in pain because of our suffering. He is patiently awaiting for us to turn to Him for help. And when we do, our “healing will come on the wings of eagles”.

At times, during our rebellion, Yahweh turns His back on us. That is what this seven-part series is about: getting back into God’s favor. Though His back is turned on us, and His blessings withheld from us, His ear is inclined eagerly awaiting our cry for help.

When we acknowledge that we cannot help ourselves and that no thing and no one can help us either, we achieve the state of humility that permit’s the eager Father gateway passage through our wall of pride(our false wall of protection from emotional pain). It may seem ever tough to open that gate, and yes, it hurts! But, never-fear! This humiliating pain gives access to the Great Physician to heal and strengthen us.

So, the first, and more importantly: promised, reaction from God is to hear us from heaven-that, seemingly far away, unreachable home of our desires that is really just a tear away. Once the fall of our pride puts us in touch with the throne room of God and He is listening to us intently, we can begin to pray and receive forgiveness of our sins. We are well on our way to getting healed.
