Q: My baby almost died at birth because of the doctors mistake. I though that medical care in US is one of the best ones, that is why I decided not to go back to Europe to deliver my baby. But now I know I am having the next one somewhere else as according to CNN and other newspapers US has second worst newborn death rate in modern world.

A: It’s not because of the doctors or hospitals. It’s because there are soo many people in the US that don’t have access to the hospitals and doctors here. Not everyone can afford medical care. There’s a lack of national health insurance. There’s nothing a doctor can do to reverse what a mother has done during the course of her pregnancy without him. That’s why the death rate is so high.
