Q: Name this disease with these Symptoms:1. Your nose bleeds2. Your gum bleeds3. Your stomach hurts4. You often feel like vomiting5. The only way to heal it is to have a lung transplant..?I am not so sure of the actual symptoms. I saw it in a tv show. I really want to know the name because i’m writing a story and i don’t want to use cancer.
A: i don’t know that nose bleeds or bleeding gums comes with the territory….but try Cystic Fibrosis for your story…It’s a lung disease usually only cured by a lung transplant. With CF, the lungs fill with mucus which has to be expelled every day….usually by beating the back and chest to loosen the junk from the wall of the lungs….
My mother has two tubes in her one in the mouth the other through her nose. what is the name of this?
Q: I am not sure of the name of the procedure and what the survival chances are after removal. They have taken an x-ray of her lungs and all they see is white. She has COPD, she was taken in because of kidney failure due to over medication. Her kidneys got better but then the Doctors took her off of her morphine, she was awake and well Tuesday the 25th (she was having withdraw symptoms) she seemed to be ok though. Wednesday at 3 am she stated that she could not breathe. The medical staff placed the breathing tube in and then called the family. I am not sure if the lungs collapsed due to morphine withdraw or because she had internal bleeding, I believe in her stomach that led to her lungs and filled them. Currently she is on lasix, Propfol, and another medication ativan or something to keep her sedated. She also may be getting morphine or they are trying to use the ativan to help with the withdraw and keep her sedated. They are also doing suction on her lungs.
A: Endotracheal tube is in her mouth and nasogastric tube in her nose. ET tube is for breathing and NG tube is to keep her stomach empty. The white usually means fluid in the lungs. They did that so they could sedate her to get her through the withdrawls. When you give somebody any kind of opiates(morphine, propfol, dilaudid, etc.) it takes out your drive to breathe. The NG tube keeps her stomach clean in case she vomits so it won’t go into her lungs and that is a whole other mess. when you get fluid in your lungs they become harder to open up that is what made it harder to breathe. They probably gave her a bunch of fluids to help her kidneys but in turn it hurts your lungs, and that happens all the time. If your kidney fail you have to have dialyis for the rest of yoour life. While it is fairly easiy to get fluid out of the lungs. The lasix and the breathing machine will help get rid of the fluids. In most cases she will come out of it fine. goodluck. The suctioning does not mean a pnemothorax, it could but i doubt it, they are suctioning the ET tube to keep it clean.
Late 70’s early 80’s slasher film???? Name that movie!!?
Q: Ok I remember looking at the VHS box at the video store when I was a little kid. The cover or the back, had a woman like strung up on a wall bleeding out of the stomach/chest area with a guy collecting the blood in a bowl. She is higher up than he is. It’s not much, but any help would be great! No thats not it, I have that one. But thanks man.
A: …I remember the image quite well; you’re talking about the quite bloody 1965 film, “Color Me Blood Red”, which was produced and directed by the Godfather of Gore himself, Mr. Herschell Gordon Lewis; the film was part of his initial ‘blood trilogy’ which he would tote from drive-in theater to drive-in theater, and included 1963’s “Blood Feast” and 1964’s “Two Thousand Maniacs”……the scene you describe, shows the film’s diabolical progtagonist, a failed artist, having strung up one of his models, whom he has just killed; it shows him having disemboweled the girl, and quite literally milking her internal organs for the blood he needs, into a bowel, for use in his recently successful paintings…check it out, below; the pictures, as well as the movie’s trailer, on the additionally provided webpages, will confirm!!!
