Q: What causes people to have migranes? If you get them, what is a good way to make them go away like fast?I use to get them back when I was younger then within a 2 year period I’ve had 3, 2 in which were like 1 month apart, so I don’t understand why all of a sudden they are coming back but nothing I do gets rid of them.
A: Migraine head aches are caused by blood vessels in the brain that dilate. A sudden increase in diameter causes pain. This type of head ache starts from one area of the head and moves around, thus the name “migraine”, which comes from migration. Migraine can be triggered by variety of different things; noise, excess light, anger, blood pressure, smoking, drinking, and so on. By controlling the contributing factor, we can normally control or rather manage the pain. Migraine will not go away by finding the source and avoiding it.The only real way of getting rid of it is to find a specialist, usually a neurologist, who can find the triggering point and fixing it by medication, oxygen, relaxation methods or what he/she thinks is necessary.

You can buy it a Walmart but be sure you get the 380mg. and take at least two at a time. They say if you get them ofen take one Feverfew daily and it will keep the migranes away. Good luck and God Bless.
What causes migrane headaches and what is the best cure?
Q:
A: Migraine is a neurological disease caused by genetics and overactive neurons in the brain. Migraineurs are sensitive to triggers — things such as certain foods, poor sleep, fragrances and odors, sustained loud noise, barometric pressure change, and others. When those triggers are encountered, the overactive neurons fire in a wave across the brain starting a chain reaction that throws off the balance of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, causes dilation of blood vessels, and results in inflammation of the nerves and tissue surrounding those blood vessels. There’s no cure for the disease, but there are treatments for the Migraine attacks. Since people’s bodies respond differently, there’s no one “best” treatment. The treatment that’s used most frequently and successfully at this time is the class of drugs called triptans. There are seven triptans — Imitrex, Maxalt, Zomig, Amerge, Relpax, Frova, and Axert. Some people can stop a Migraine by sleeping. Some milder Migraines can be handled with OTC meds such as Excedrin or with a caffeinated drink and a cold pack.If you think you’re having Migraines, but haven’t been diagnosed yet, please see your doctor. He or she will rule out other conditions that can mimic Migraine and help you find the medication that works best for you.Good luck!
