How could you detect a punctured lung?
Q: Let’s say you’re not a doctor but an accident victim may have a punctured or even collapsed lung after an accident. What would be the symptoms (aside from labored breathing) and how could you detect it?
A: you could listen for crackling sounds in the lungs, or uneven rising of the chest. if you or someone you know punctured a lung, they would only be using one lung, labored breathing would be a understatement! Other than that, you would probably need chest x-ray. Oh and sometimes you would cough up blood!
