Unique Ways to Carve a Halloween Pumpkin

The creativity factor for Halloween is extremely high this year, and there are many unique ways to decorate your pumpkin for Halloween. If you aren’t looking to paint your pumpkin or bedazzle it but instead are looking for a creative way to carve your pumpkin than you are in luck, as you can find lots of inspiration online. So to keep from having the most boring pumpkins on the block you can carve your pumpkins with one of the unique ideas.

Leg Eating Pumpkin

This leg eating pumpkin designed by Steven K. from Anderson, Indiana was one of the winners of This Old House’s Pumpkin Carving Contest in 2010. It’s not the carving itself that makes this pumpkin so unique but the entire setup of it. It would be easy to recreate as it only takes basic cuts to carve the pumpkin’s face. You can find out more about it by visiting the This Old House website.

Pumpkin Anatomy Skull

First let me say I had no idea that there was a Skull A Day blog, what an interesting topic to blog about. However, leave it to a blog dedicated to skulls to come up with a pumpkin that is split open showing its skull. This does require two pumpkins to recreate this pumpkin one larger orange one, and a smaller white one. Again, it would be easy to recreate this pumpkin, as it only takes basic cuts to carve out the pumpkins. To find the Pumpkin Anatomy Skull you can visit Skull A Day.

Fantasy Pumpkin

If you have some little Princesses in your home than you will most definitely be there Knight in Shining Armor or their Fairy Godmother if you create this Fantasy Pumpkin from ZedoMax.com. This carriage shaped pumpkin looks as if it is made just for Cinderella, and they even offer step-by-step instructions on their website. You can find out how to make your little Princess her own pumpkin carriage by visiting the ZedoMax website.

Unique Jackolantern Face
This Unique Jackolantern Face is very unique, as it created using a method that involves peeling the skin off the pumpkin using a potato peeler before carving the face into the pumpkin. This particular method will require quite a bit of time and patience but it is not impossible to do. What I like about this pumpkin is that the website takes the time to explain how to recreate the pumpkin, and gives a printable pattern for carving the face. You can view the Unique Jackolantern Face pumpkin and find out how to do it by visiting the Xomba website.
