Travelers in Transit in Seoul: Children’s Facilities to Use when Waiting for the Next Flight

During an intercontinental flight with a few hours of layover in Seoul, Korea, international travelers with babies or toddlers can take advantage of the free children’s facilities available at the Incheon International Airport. These transfer convenience facilities available to transit passengers help ease their travel concerns when they have kids with them.

Kids Zones

The Kids Zone is a dedicated location where parents and guardians can use diaper changers and baby care amenities and where kids can use the children’s playroom. Open 24 hours all year round, the Kids Zone is an ideal place for children to play and relax after a long flight. Pregnant or nursing mothers also have access to a nursing room. The Kids Zone on the east side of the airport is located at the Airside 4F (fourth floor) near the Rest and Relax Zone by Gate 11. There is another one located on the west side at the Airside 4F near the Rest and Relax Zone by Gate 43.

Babycare Lounges

The airport provides 10 nursery rooms that travelers carrying infants can use. These facilities have sofas, diaper changing tables, basins, water dispensers, hand sanitizers and other toiletries needed to clean and freshen up. Open 24/7 for the entire year, these baby care lounges are meant for children three years and below, parents, guardians, and pregnant women.

The Public Area hosts one nursery room situated on the east side of the Passenger Terminal 1F, right next to Arrival Hall B, and another one on the west side, right next to Arrival Hall E. The Passenger Terminal 3F is also home to a facility located on the east side, right next to Shinhan Bank Counter D, and another one on the west side, right next to Korea Exchange Bank Counter J.

There are also two nursery rooms located at the Duty Free Area 3F, just adjacent to the Emergency Room. Four others are located adjacent to the Transfer Lounge of the Passenger Terminal 4F.

The Passenger Terminal 3F has one on the east side, right next to Gate 25. Another one is located on the west side, right next to Gate 29. The Passenger Terminal 4F houses one on the east side by the KAL Lounge and another one on the west side by the Asiana Lounge. The Departure Area 3F hosts one on the east side, right next to Gate 113, and another one on the west side, right next to Gate 119.

Play Yard for Children

With children’s short attention spans, finding a variety of dedicated spaces where they can spend quality play time is ideal for travelers waiting for hours before their next flights. Incheon’s Play Yard for Children is open all-year round and it offers play equipment and hand sanitizers to keep kids busy and having a fun and safe wait time.

Inside the Passenger Terminal, there is a play yard located at the east side of the Duty Free Area 3F, right next to Gates 10 and 15, and another one located at the west side, right next to Gates 40 and 45. The Transfer Lounge 4F also houses one on the east side by the KAL Lounge and the west side by the Asiana Lounge. Another play yard is located on the east side of the Departure Area 3F, right next to Gate 113. Another one is located on the west side, right next to Gate 119.
