Riverwalk Fine Art Fair to Be Held in Naperville, Illinois

The Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is an annual outdoor art show that has been held along the picturesque Naperville Riverwalk for the past 26 years. An expected 140 artists will present their finest work at this year’s show, to be held Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th, from 10am until 5pm, as reported by the Daily Herald.com .

Artists will have their work judged and prizes are awarded to the “best of the best”. Artist will also display their work in booth spaces for public viewing and for sale. Admission is free, and the event will also feature performances by the DuPage Symphony Orchestra , Chicago Sinfonietta, and the McNulty Irish Dancers. The DuPage Children’s Museum will also have a space available where children can make a craft project.

Many types of fine art are on display and available for purchase, including paintings, mixed media, sculptures, handcrafted jewelry, photography, ceramics, gourds, handcrafted quilts, and blown glass. My personal favorite artist, whose name I am not aware of , is who I refer to as the “Humpty Dumpty Lady”, because she makes these outrageously cute Humpty Dumpty sculptures. Be sure to look for her if you attend! I missed her last year and am hoping she returns this year.

This event is sponsored by the Naperville Art League, and more information can be found at :www.napervilleartleague.com.
