NFL Playoffs: Harbaugh Brothers Super Bowl: It’s a Real Possibility!

The likelihood of Jim Harbaugh head coach for the San Francisco 49ers and John Harbaugh head coach for the Baltimore Ravens meeting each other in the 2012 Super Bowl is truly an unbelievable thought,

But if both coaches win their respective playoff games this weekend, the reality of that possibility has to sink in.

The brothers met on Thanksgiving Day in a nationally televised game that was eventually won by the Ravens in a hard-fought football contest seen by viewers all over the world.

This would be considered a fantasy dream by many experts and the 49ers are the long shot of getting past the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants or Green Bay Packers to even reach the Super Bowl.

The Ravens are hosting the Houston Texans in their divisional playoff game and could advance to Super Bowl by eliminating the aforementioned Texans, Denver Broncos or the New England Patriots

Maybe it’s too early to even consider the thought, but both coaches are willing their teams with one mind, one goal, and one objective of winning the Super Bowl and hosting the Lombardi Trophy in the subsequent victory parade.

Jack Harbaugh, father to Jim and John, had trouble even watching his sons coach against each other at the Ravens’ stadium. He elected to view the game in a quiet place without cameras focused on his reactions to the ever-changing events throughout the contest.

The Ravens overwhelmed the 49ers with a vicious pass rush and won that contest, 16-6.

The 49ers and the Raven are both number No. 2 seeds in the AFC and NFC conferences, and that puts them dead even race coming out of the gate.

It’s just a thought, fantasy or perhaps even a bad dream, but it genuinely feels good to know that NFL fans will have an opportunity to watch history again, if the Harbaugh brothers face each other in the Super Bowl XLVI.
