Prayer

· “We have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord.” – Colossians 1:9-10

I am encouraged when I know that others pray for me, especially in times of difficulty. Paul, former Pharisee and persecutor of Christians was struck down by the light of God. After his repentance and salvation, he spent a good deal of time writing letters of encouragement to churches and other Christians that became Bible verses to inspire. Many of these were written from behind prison bars many centuries ago, but today are Bible verses that are inspirational. Familiarity with the Bible, God’s Word, allows you to choose your own favorite inspirational Bible verses.

Believe that fellow Christians keep you in prayer, as you should do for them. The above passage, from the books of Colossians, is one of many Bible verses that are inspirational. This prayer is an awesome communication with our Savior, one which enables us to request miracles and watch them happen. We must remember to pray for what is in God’s will and that we must wait for our prayers to be answered in God’s time. ·” Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32

The book of Ephesians contains a wealth of Bible verses that are inspirational. This verse reminds me to forgive injustices, big and small, real or imagined. Keeping a tender heart is not always easy in today’s world, but reading this verse reminds me to keep trying.

Experience Loving-kindness from the Father

· “For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help,
The afflicted also, and him who has no helper.
He will have compassion on the poor and needy,
And the lives of the needy he will save.
He will rescue their life from oppression and violence,
And their blood will be precious in his sight.”
Psalm 72:12-14

David often asked for forgiveness while writing the Psalms and many of his verses are songs of Praise. We can count on our Heavenly Father to keeps His promises. He is always the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. Remember that He is the ruler of all things; no one else can fulfill such promises. Our Lord is faithful and what He says He must do. This includes punishment for breaking His commandments. Our Heavenly Father hates the sin, but continues to love the sinner.
