Healthy and Delicious Greek Yogurt Desserts

Greek yogurt is becoming increasingly popular these days. Thicker and creamier than regular yogurt, it is also higher in protein. You can just eat it plain, of course, but you can also dress it up in various ways. I like to use it to make healthy and delicious desserts, like those I want to share with you here.

Bananas and Cream Dessert

24 ounces plain Greek yogurt
One box sugar free banana pudding mix
2 tablespoons Splenda
2 ripe bananas
Cool Whip Free (optional)
Vanilla wafers (optional)

Mash one of the bananas with a fork. Slice the other banana.

In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, sugar free banana pudding mix, Splenda and mashed banana, mixing well. Then gently fold in the sliced banana.

To serve, garnish with Cool Whip Free and a vanilla wafer or two, if desired.

Cherry Cheesecake Dessert

24 ounces plain Greek yogurt
One box sugar free cheesecake pudding mix
2 tablespoons Splenda
One cup no sugar added cherry pie filling
Graham crackers (optional)

In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, sugar free cheesecake pudding mix and Splenda, mixing well.

To serve, top with no sugar added cherry pie filling. Garnish with a graham cracker, if desired.

Lemon Chiffon Dessert

32 ounces plain Greek yogurt
One box sugar free lemon pudding mix
2 tablespoons Splenda
Cool Whip Free
Lemon zest (optional)

In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, sugar free lemon pudding mix and Splenda, mixing well.

To serve, top with Cool Whip Free. Garnish with lemon zest, if desired.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Dessert

24 ounces plain Greek yogurt
One box sugar free cheesecake pudding mix
2 tablespoons Splenda
2 tablespoons sugar free caramel syrup (found in the coffee aisle at the grocery store)
One cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
Cool Whip Free (optional)

In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, sugar free cheesecake pudding mix, Splenda, sugar free caramel syrup and pumpkin puree, mixing well.

To serve, garnish with Cool Whip Free, if desired.

Spumoni Dessert

24 ounces plain Greek yogurt
One box sugar free pistachio pudding mix
2 tablespoons Splenda
3/4 cup no sugar added cherry pie filling
½ cup pistachios, shelled
Cool Whip Free (optional)
Sugar free chocolate chips (optional)

Chop the pistachios. I just put them in a sandwich baggie and hit them with a hammer (it’s kind of fun) but if you have a food processer, that works well, too. You want small pieces.

In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, sugar free pistachio pudding mix, Splenda, no sugar added cherry pie filling and chopped pistachios, mixing well.

To serve, garnish with Cool Whip Free and a few sugar free chocolate chips, if desired.
