Haunting Halloween
The night is upon us
The enormous moon
illuminates the otherwise
opaque night.
Time for some fright
All dressed up and ready to go
Pumpkins, witches, and vampires, too
All ready to scare you
Knock knock on the door
What are you waiting for?
It is time to trick or treat
My mouth salivates
Thinking about all of the
sweets
But we must be careful because
you never know when someone may trick you
I return home from the two hour long walk down the
streets
My mouth ready to feast
As I open my bag
I see tons of chocolates, caramel, lollypops, and candy corn
But, wait, what’s this?
I look down and see a tiny little
garden gnome!
I have been tricked
on this Haunting Halloween!
