Now with the advancement of technology, more and more get addicted to a lot of things that has to do with the internet. It is a very serious problem that requires attention.

IGN tells us that, World of Warcraft addiction is now one of the biggest problems in the online world. The game immerses players with a world that you can be whatever you choose to be. You can join guilds and socialize with other members. Some even go as far as selling and trading their unique equipment. World of Warcraft lets you play a character of your choice. Game Front says, during the game, you’ll be asked to fulfill quests and slay monsters in exchange for gold and experience points. The experience points would level up the player and unlock spells.

The game is the largest massively multiplayer online role-playing or MMORPG in the world, according to Battle.net. It has over 11.5 million players worldwide. World of Warcraft owns 62% of the MMORPG market. The monthly subscription costs $14.99 a month. Blizzard earns around $172,238,000 every month, which makes it the highest grossing game of all time. Players of the game come from every region of the world. You only need to have a decent computer and broadband internet to play the game. Most of the players are teenagers, ages between 10-17 years old. However, there are also millions of adults playing World of Warcraft. In fact, the adults consist around 27% out of the total number of players.

The world is simply gorgeous. Players play the game because they want to escape from the harsh reality of everyday life. However, there are some that has lost track of what’s real and fake. Game addicts would rather live inside the game than live a normal life. Playing the game is alright, but forgetting your real life is just absurd. Like everything else in this world, there’s always a limit. So, how do you help somebody who’s addicted to the game? You’ll have to understand the game itself. By doing this, you’ll be able to relate to what he or she is saying. Once you have gained his or her interest, you can gradually reintroduce your friend to the real world.
